PENGANTAR

Inventory mendukung keberlangsungan produksi dan pemenuhan permintaan konsumen. Ini berarti inventory diperlukan untuk menekan biaya kehilangan kesempatan. Di satu sisi, inventory membutuhkan tempat, pemeliharaan dan penyediaan. Dua sisi inventory ini menuntut perusahaan merencanakan inventory secara optimal sehingga biaya inventory secara total rendah, baik dari sisi penyediaan maupun dari sisi kehilangan persediaan. Permasalahan inventory menjasi semakin kompleks, ketika setiap barang yang disimpan memiliki karakteristik yang beragam. Selain itu, setiap fase produksi membutuhkan inventory yang beragam. Training ini akan membahas beragam aspek manajemen inventory untuk memperoleh kebijakan inventory yang optimal di setiap fase produksi: peramalan kebutuhan, bahan baku (sebelum produksi), work in process (dalam fase produksi) dan produk akhir (pasca produksi) dengan beragam karakteristik barang yang disimpan.

Singgih Saptadi, ST.MT.  adalah Master lulusan Teknik Industri ITB yang juga merupakan dosen tetap Teknik Industri UNDIP. Pernah menjabat Kepala Laboratorium Sistem Produksi dan Kepala Laboratorium Sistem Pendukung Keputusan Universitas Diponegoro. Bidang keahlian Beliau adalah Manajemen Operasi, Analisis dan Perancangan Pabrik, Manajemen pemeliharaan, Manajemen Resiko, Analisis Keputusan, Pengambilan Keputusan Multi-Kriteria, Supply-Chain Management Pemodelan dan Simulasi Sistem Industri, E-Business, Perencanaan dan Perancangan Sistem Perusahaan serta Perencanaan Strategis Sistem Informasi. Dengan kompetensi tersebut, Beliau terlibat dalam kegiatan konsultansi di Bank Indonesia, Pertamina, BRI, BNI, Holcim, Conoco Phillips, Freeport dan beberapa industri lainnya, termasuk perguruan tinggi.
