Worshop Description
The workshop focuses on the fundamental principles underlying supply chains, using insights from both operations management and logistics. It briefly discusses the likely impacts from higher environmental standards, technology changes and other global trends that can be expected in the future. It then focuses on the additional competitive pressures and reengineering possibilities generated by the rapid advances in Information Technology (IT) and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) technologies.
Objectives
At the completion of this workshop, the participant should be able to examine the design and performance of supply networks and processes in different business contexts. Participant shall develop capabilities in logistics, digital coordination for supply chain integration, inventory management; risk pooling, procurement, product and process design, and international supply chain management.
